Although not officially certified by registered philatelic companies, all stamps in my auctions/sales were acquired through the Post Office or reputable stamp auctions/assayers. Unless otherwise noted, most other stamps were acquired through my father’s collection and stamp dealership (Tex-Stamp) which had been in business over a 50 year period in South Texas. If you require documentation, feel free to ask. For philatelic auctions/sales, I use the following descriptions. SCV: Scott Catalog Value, MI: Michel Catalogue, NF: Nick Follansbee Catalog, Sk. Schatzes Catalog, Yag & Bash, SG: Stanley Gibbons Catalogue… Mint Never Hinged (MNH): Never hinged, usually with OG from Post Office i. Mint Lightly Hinged (MLH): Hinge mark but no hinge remnants. Mint Hinged (MH): Not Cancelled with hing or hinge remnants. OG – Original gum. PH – Previously hinged. DOG – Original gum, disturbed. POG – Part original gum. NG – Mint No gum. NGAI – Unused, no gum as issued (special printing). USED – Used / canceled. GEM – Perfectly-balanced margins Post Office Fresh (POF). Superb – Perfectly-balanced normal sized margins, POF. XF/S – Not quite perfectly-centered, POF. XF – Extremely well-centered margins, POF. VF/XF – Almost extremely well-centered, POF. VF – Very well-centered, POF. F/VF – Margins reasonably clear on all sides. F or AVE – Margins just clear on one or more sides. VG/F – Perfs touch or cut stamp design slightly. VG – Perfs cut into stamp design.
