Vintage 2x 1840 1d Mulready Envelopes One Penny John Thompson. A132 cancelled by fine red Cross, waxed seal on reverse side. Tear in the back flap, surrounding the seal. Some damage to edges as seen in photos. Obvious wear and aging. Dated 1st September 1840. Can not make out the other stamp. Second Stamp cancelled by crisp strike of the distinct limerick Maltese cross in black, and stamped Charles S Weste. Back stamp 10 Fn 10 December 12 1840. There’s damage to the back flap we’re it should be sealed. Some obvious aging and wear. Please look at the photos carefully as they form part of our description.
